Mike died peacefully April 14, 2016, at Berkeley Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Cecil and Dolores. He enjoyed living with his family in Bad Tolz, Germany, as a teenager. As an adult, Mike lived in the greater Washington D.C. area, raised a family in Webster, New York, and moved to Martinsburg in 2004. While in Webster, Mike enjoyed being photographer for the Webster Knights of Columbus and an active member of St. Rita Catholic Church. A systems analyst and computer-assisted instructor for Xerox Corp., he retired in 1994 after 30 years of service.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Patrick and Roberts. He will be remembered by his wife, Anne, of 49 years; son, Peter and wife, Hillary Graham; son, David and partner, Tammy Sprague; daughter, Erin Henry and husband, David; grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, Gwynedd and Athena; brother, Tony; and nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many friends. Everyone who met Mike received a hug.
A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Eric Hall 11 a.m. April 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Queen St., Martinsburg; family will receive friends one hour prior in the church social hall. All are welcome to a luncheon immediately following the mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Berkeley Medical Center ICU.
