In 1871 Mr. and Mrs. Bear and family came to Kansas and bought a farm east of Detroit. Some years later they moved on North Buckeye St . Some years ago she united with the Brethren in Christ Church and ad been a faithful Christian for many years. She was confined to her bed for the last three and half years. She would often repeat passages of scripture she had learned when young. She always rememberd it when the members of the church and friends visited her. During her sickness she always longed to go to her heavenly home. Her favorite hymn was "In the Christian's Home in Glory." We can feel she is at rest in her heavenly home.
