Lima News, Mon., Dec. 9, 1935:
"Spencerville - Mrs. Lillian Snow, wife of Fred Snow, died here yesterday at her home of complications of diseases. Surviving are her husband and two children of a former marriage, Mrs. Edwin Loff of Spencerville, and Ned Banby of Pawpaw, Mich. Services wil he held at 9 am Tuesday from Trinity M. E. church, the Rev. Norman Sweat will be in charge. Eastern Star lodge, of which Mrs. Snow was a member, also will hold services. Burial will be at Pawpaw in charge of C. B. Miller & Son."
Lima News, Mon. Dec. 19, 1938:
"Death Claims Veteran Editor
Fred C. Snow, 80, who owned and edited the Spencerville Journal from 1900 to 1913, died Monday at 6:45 am at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Umbaugh, 1105 Richie-av. He was ill two years. Snow recently resided in Springfield. He operated the first job printing plant in Lima, which he conducted for 12 years. Snow also was active in music circles. He was a native of Van Buren-co, Mich.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Umbaugh, Mrs. Fannie Hawkins, Toledo; two sons, Carl and Fred C. Jr., both of Springfield, and one brother, William, of Paw Paw, Mich.
The body is at C. B. Miller & Son in Spencerville. Services have not been arranged. Snow was a member of Odd Fellows lodge, Arcadia lodge of F. & A. M., the Eastern Stars and the Methodist church at Spencerville."

"Funeral services for Fred C. Snow, former editor of the Spencerville Journal News, who died Monday, will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at the Spencerville M. E. church, with Rev. I. F. Andrews, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. The body will remain at the C. B. Miller and Son funeral home at Spencerville until time of services."
