Glatis Aldridge Jr.
Glatis Aldridge Jr., 77, of Sabina, died on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Moomaw Aldridge. They were married on April 20, 1957.
Mr. Aldridge was born on Sept. 7, 1935 in Hillsboro, a son of the late Glatis and Mae Dodds Aldridge. He was a graduate of Leesburg High School and attended the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Aldridge was a former scoutmaster of Lees Creek Troop 35. He was a little league coach for many years and played softball on the Cincinnati Milacron team.
Mr. Aldridge retired from Cincinnati Milacron in Wilmington after 35 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Jeff (Lori) Aldridge of Lebanon, Bev (Tony) Harper of Grove City, and David (Penny) Aldridge of Grove City; three grandchildren, Dan Aldridge of Youngstown, Ellen Aldridge of Lebanon, and Andy Harper of Grove City; a brother, Charles (Ruth) Aldridge of St. Paris; and a sister-in-law, Carol Davis of Greenfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Aldridge and Dale Aldridge; and three sisters, Frances Allender, Ruth Douglas and Louise Johnson.
The funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at the LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME, 104 N. Jackson St. in Sabina, with visitation from noon until 1 p.m.
Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon United Methodist Church.
