Entered the U. S. Army Air Corps on January 27, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio. Lost in action on August 23, 1943 --- remains not recovered. Declared dead 1 year and 1 day later on August 24, 1944. Service awards include the Air Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.
Name appears on the Tablets of the Missing, North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial, Carthage, Tunisia.
