Mrs. Amanda Sarah Victoria Moomaw, 74, wife of George W. Moomaw, died Tuesday night at 6:45 o'clock in her home in Madison Township. She had been ill the past 10 days and death resulted from heart trouble and complications.
She was born Aug. 8, 1868 in Rockingham County VA, the daughter of George Allen Lamb. Her husband, a son, Thomas Everett Moomaw, of Madison Township; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Dustheimer of Franklin Township; eight grandchildren and a brother, Thomas F. Lamb, survive.
The body was removed to Criss Brothers Funeral Home and will remain there. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Mt. Carmel Church and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
