Sue Ann Moomaw, 61, passed away September 16, 2009 after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Sue was born May 30, 1948 in Washington, D.C.. Sue served in the U.S. Army 1971 - 1977, also in the Air Force, Army Reserve and Texas National Guard until 1992. Sue served VIA for 22 years as a bus operator. Sue loved rescuing animals and caring for her pets. Sue is survived by her closest friends, Ronda Smid and Dr. Sherri Youngblood, her beloved four legged kidz, her extended family at Spring Creek Animal Hospital, her brothers, Lowell "Butch" (Susan) Jr. and Scott (Sheila) and numerous other friends and family. Special thanks to all her friends and exceptional staff at Christus VNA Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christus VNA Hospice or the animal charity of your choice. Service
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
