MOOMAW, JR, Henry Hammond Henry Hammond Moomaw, Jr. born on December 5, 1939, in Paris, TX, passed away in Plano, TX on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jane Marie Keele Moomaw, and his parents, Henry H. "Hank" Moomaw, Sr. and Sarah "Maxine" Skidmore Moomaw. He was educated in the DISD at Davey Crockett Elementary, A.W. Spence Jr. High, and North Dallas High School Class of 1958. At North Dallas, he ran track for a city championship team, and he graduated from Arlington State College (now UTA) on a track scholarship where his 4X100 relay team set a National Record in 1960. He worked for Texas Instruments for 39 years as an Electrical Engineer until his retirement in 2000. He was a contributing member of the R.T. Hill Jr. High and Bryan Adams High School PTAs, President of the V.H. Hexter Elementary PTA, PTA Life Member, and Charter Board Member of the North Dallas High School Alumni Association. He was a long-time supporter of Lake Highlands and North Dallas High Schools. He enjoyed golf, and was a member of Dallas Athletic Club and Brookhaven CC. He accepted Jesus into his heart as a child. A devout Christian, he was a long-time member of Lakeview Christian Church after transferring from East Dallas Christian, where he married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart Jane in 1961. The family is blessed to know that he has been reunited with loved ones in heaven after struggling for the past few years with the debilitating illness, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy "PSP". He is survived by his son Henry and his wife Chris Moomaw, granddaughter Rachel Moomaw and her fiance Robert Metts, grandson Will and his wife Meredith Moomaw, sister-in-law Lisa Massena, nieces Stacey Morrison and Krissi Reeves, nephew Ryan Bernard-McClenan, and great nephew Evan Morrison. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas immediately in advance of funeral services to be held at 2:30 p.m. that same day in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Donations in Henry's honor may be made to the North Dallas High School Alumni Association or Healing Hands Ministries.
