MEADE---Francis Marion Moomaw, 70, died June 27, 1991, at Sparks, Nev.
He was born April 22, 1921, at Moscow, Kan., the son of Frank Butler and Olive Irene Daly Moomaw. A Meade resident since 1969, and a former resident of Hutchinson, he was a machinist and a model maker from 1946 to 1969, and had driven the city bus at Hutchinson in 1946.
He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion and was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps for 3-1/2 years and had been a member of the civilian conservation corps in eastern Colorado.
He married Margaret Leanna Moomaw. She died in October 1990.
Survivors include: a son, Francis M. Moomaw, Jr., Sparks, Nev.; a daughter, Dianne Sapp, Inyokern, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Janeal Brinkman, Meade; mother, Olive Irene Lynch, Sun City, Ariz.; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Memorial service will be at Wellshire United Methodist Church [sic], Denver. Burial will be at Denver. Northern Nevada Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, Reno, Nev., is in charge of arrangements.
