Data source is the 1990 book, "Moomaw-Mumma-Mumaw-Mumaugh Genealogy" compiled by Robert Austin Moomaw (deceased).
Dr. Moomaw had his doctorate in Theology and served as a board member and professor at the start of Washington Bible College in Washington. Following are some excerpts from the minutes of board meetings
September 20, 1938:
"The first regular meeting of the Washington Bible Institute was held at the Open Door Church, 307 D St., N. W., Washington, D.C., at 8 P.M. on September 20, 1938, for the purpose of organization and election of officers.
Dr. Moomaw was requested to act as Chairman, pro tem.
The following members were present: . . . Dr. K. B. Moomaw"
November 8, 1938
Messgrs. King, Ken, Seligman, and Moomaw were absent.
"Mr. Wiles moved that Mr. Boutros be invited to come and teach Dr. Moomaw's classes while he is away . . ."
November 22, 1938
"Inquiry was made as to how Dr. Moomaw was getting along and Bro. Seligman read a letter he had received from him."
Letter of January 1939
"Dear Mrs. Moomaw and Dorothy:
When on January 31, 1939, the Board of the Washington Bible Institute was in session mention was made of how we miss dear Doctor Moomaw. The Board then went on record to send you an expression of our deep appreciation and love for Doctor Moomaw, and of our sympathy for you his beloved family in your bereavement." (Four other paragraphs).
Letter of February 9, 1939 from Mrs. Moomaw
"Dear Brother Oyer,
The letter sent us by the Board of the Washington Bible Institute has touched us deeply." (Two other paragraphs).
