Doris M. Mumaw, 88, went home to be with her parents, Floyd and Sadie (Sample) Mumaw; her brothers, Carl and Amos; and sister, Tillie, on Monday, November 11, 2013.
Doris worked for B.F. Goodrich-Michelin for over 30 years; serving as Executive Secretary to the President for B. F. Goodrich Tire Company for many of those years. She also was a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House for 12 years.
She leaves behind, her nieces, Catherine (Jim) Carpenter of Barberton, Diana (Jim) Greenawald of Saranac, Michigan, Amy (Dean) Blair, Candy Finley; and nephew, Dick (Linda) Mumaw, all of Ashland, Ohio. She also leaves many great-nieces and nephews and their families.
Her family would like to express many thanks and appreciation to Hospice of Ridgewood Road-Visiting Nurse Service. A special thanks to nurse, Becky, who has been so kind and so helpful.
Also, many thanks to the staff at both, Pleasant Pointe Assisted Living and Pleasant View Health Care Center for the kindness and wonderful care of Doris.
Per her wishes, there are no calling hours. Her family will remember her at a private graveside service.
