A. Ruth Mumaw
A. Ruth Mumaw, 87, formerly of Mount Joy, died on Monday, April 20, 2009 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. Born in Colebrook, Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Amy Wilson Weaber. Ruth worked for the former Elizabethtown Children's Hospital as a Supervisor in their housekeeping department for fifteen years and also at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim in the housekeeping department until retiring in 1983. Her interests included gardening, crocheting, playing the organ and accordion and she was a dog lover.
Surviving is a son, Jesse W. husband of Christine Mumaw of Primm Springs, Tennessee, three daughters, Almeda R. wife of Fred Geib of Silverdale, Fonda G. wife of John Murphy of Elizabethtown, Janet D. wife of Mark H. Keith of Mount Joy; seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy M. Stokes, five brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Masonic Village, John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gary S. George officiating. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Brethren In Christ Cemetery, Mount Joy Township. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
