H. J. (sic) Mumma Dies, Age 83; Rites Friday
Harry J. (sic) Mumma, 83, 1326 Yonge St., former Burson Knitting Co. employe for 57 years, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a two-week illness.
Mr. Mumma retired five years ago. He had lived in Rockford 70 years.
He was born Aug. 28, 1877, near Adeline, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (sic) Mumma. He married Eva B. Kerlin July 11, 1900.
Survivors include his widow, and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Rydin, Rockford.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Long-Klontz Funeral Home, 428 Park Ave. Rev. Robert B. Davis, pastor of Third Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
