William Malcolm Moomaw Sr., 77, died June 23, 1987 at Red Bay Hospital, Alabama. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vina, and owned and operated a service station for 40 years. Services were June 25 at Deaton Funeral Home with burial in Holly Springs Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Elizabeth Moomaw of Vina; two sons, Bill Moomaw of Vina and Bob Moomaw of Birmingham, Ala.; one stepson, David Mobley of Golden; two sisters, Mary Lee Barkley of Florence, Ala. and Bessie Mae White of Northport, Ala.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
