Richard L. Moomaw

Richard L. Moomaw, 77, of Attica, died at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center of Toledo.
He was born April 28, 1930, in Willard, to the late Laban and Margaret (Stickel) Moomaw.
Mr. Moomaw spent his life as an electrician and worked at Pioneer Rubber in Attica, as well as for several contractors in the area. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, the Knights of Columbus and the Club Amer-Ital in Bellevue. He enjoyed the outdoors, where he fished, hunted and golfed. He also enjoyed bingo.
Mr. Moomaw was first married to Sylvia Burger, who preceded him in death in 1958. He then married Mary Artino in 1979, and she survives.
He also is survived by his six children, Tonya (Jim) Miller of Middletown, Cindy (Randy) Tuck of Delaware, Ohio, Lynn (Bill Shutz) Delahunty of Cape Coral, Fla., Debra (Jerry) Hines of Attica, David (Kay) Moomaw of Fort Myers, Fla., and Donna Boetcher of Willard; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eileen Senn and Virginia Nutter, both of Attica.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dalton John and David Moomaw.
A Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at Our Lady of Hope Church, with the Rev. Paul A. Fahrbach officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Attica.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 1295 W. Tiffin St., Attica. There will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. that night.
