Daniel "Dan" Lee Armentrout, 61, of Front Royal, Warren County, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, in the Veterans Hospital Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, W. Va.
A funeral service was held at Good Shepherd Luthern Church on Saturday with Rev Robert Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Prince of Peace Luthern Church Cemetery in Basye.
Mr. Armentrout was born in Harrisonburg on April 22, 1939, son of Louis and Edith Moomaw Armentrout. He attended Roller Business College in Front Royal, was a veteran with the U.S.Army having served in Germany, was the chemical supply supervisor for Avtex, was employed by Mighty Fine Seafood & Barbecue Co. Inc., and was a member of the Good Shepherd Luthern Church.
Survivors are his daughter, Melissa Oliver of Front Royal; a twin brother, the Rev Dr. Donald Smith Armentrout of Sewanee, Tenn.; two sisters, Linda A. Johns of Mt. Jackson and Cora Lou Richards of Lewistown, Pa.;a sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; an aunt;nine nieces and nephews; and one grand-nephew.
Pallbearers were Tom Rrichards, Andrew Johnson, Chris Coller, David Evans, David Ramsey, and Glen Staszewski. (Warren County High School Class of 1957)
