Darlene Kay Moomaw, age 73, of Portland Ore., passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, after a five-year battle with Alzheimer's.
Darlene was born April 27, 1948, to parents James D. and Bonita "Bonnie" Long in Silverton Ore. After graduating from Gold Beach High School in 1966, she married Jay D. Moomaw from Gold Beach in 1968. They went on to have two children, Tracie Moomaw Sweet and Teri Moomaw.
Darlene retired in 2013 from an over three-decade career with First Interstate Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of the West. She was senior vice president and regional manager overseeing the Washington County area region. In retirement Darlene enjoyed traveling, wine tasting, golfing, and Jazzercise.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Jay D Moomaw; daughters, Tracie Moomaw Sweet and Teri Moomaw; sons-in-law, Rick Sweet and Fred Miller; grandson, Jackson Miller; brothers, James W. Long; and Robert Long.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., April 16, 2022, at Young's Funeral Home in Tigard.
