Age 66, of 3019 East Ave., died Thursday, Aug. 22, son of the late Urald and Della Stuchel Dye.
Mr. Dye had been a car salesman and assistant manager of the Plumpton Buick dealership and later Rick Weaver Buick for 35 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Dye was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving as a radio operator. He enjoyed golf, boating and car racing.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elwood, Robert and Pete Dye.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Dolores Konkel Dye; a son, Gordon Dye (d 2004 age 48 in Erie), of San Diego Calif.; a daughter, Darcie Dye of San Diego; two brothers, Richard Dye of Lockport, N.Y., and his wife, Carol, and James Dye of McDonald, Ohio, and his wife, Marilyn; seven sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Pearl) Johnson of Marion Center, Indiana County, Mrs. Merle (Jean) Rouser of Johnstown, Mrs. Walt (Margaret) Macon and Mrs. Ralph (Helen) Morey, both of Bradford, McKean County, Mrs. Don (Betty) Plunkett of Youngstown, Ohio, Mrs. Mark (Elaine) Kirsch of Nicktown, Cambria County, and Mrs. Don (Eileen) Trout of Cherry Tree, Venango County; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
