H. Gertrude Mumma (nee Bailey) died on January 28, 2008 at the age of 97.
Mrs. Mumma was born in Jamestown, New York, spent her early years in Passaic, New Jersey, and graduated from Beaver College in 1931. She married Charles Landis Mumma in 1933. For many years, Mrs. Mumma resided in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, and was an active member of the Strasburg Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a son, Fred, of Lusby, Maryland, and a daughter, Mary, wife of Harold Scaff, Jr., of New Vernon, New Jersey, two grandchildren, Nancy McGinley Clark of Colorado and Harold H. Scaff III of New Jersey, and two great grandchildren, Sean McGinley and Charlotte Scaff.
A private burial service will be held at Willow Street Mennonite Church in Willow Street, PA.
