Burl Mumma, 83, of Senath, Mo., died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at the Senath Nursing Center in Senath.
Born Aug. 6, 1918, in Gideon, Mo., son of the late Martin V. and Elizabeth Atteberry Mumma, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during WWII, a member of the Methodist Church and the Rotary Club.
On Nov. 20, 1940, in Bloomfield, Mo., he married Geneva Shelton, who survives of the home.
Survivors also incluide one son, Michael Mumma and wife, Mary, of Bentonville, Ark.; one daughter, Libby Spence, of Jackson, Miss.; two brothers, Bill Mumma, of Topeka, Kan. and Richard Mumma, of Rolla, Mo.; one sister, Agatha Largent, of Sikeston, Mo. and two grandchildren, Meghan Mumma and Carrie McGrew.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Van Mumma and one sister, Jean Delaney.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Cardwell Cemetery with the Rev. Gene West officiating.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
