John P. Mumaw
MUMAW JOHN P. MUMAW, 84, passed away on Dec. 20, 2004 at Akron City Hospital. John was preceded in death by his son Randy. John is survived by his wife Alice, five children (John, Beth, Patty, Sandy and Debbie), 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. John was born in Beaver, PA., and raised his family in Cleveland. He was a retired Naval Cryptology Officer, who served the Civil Service community as a NASA Electronics Engineer. He taught at Cleveland Public Schools, the West Side Institute of Technology, Naval Reserve Officer's School, Cleveland Electrical Union Industrial Electronics, and LEAR Sieglar Inc. His hobbies were Scouts, camping, Ham radio (ex W8UDT), classical music, computers, and being of service to society. Funeral services will be held at Laurel Lake Retirement Center's Community Room in Hudson on Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends FROM 10 TO 11 A.M.
