Carol, 83, was born in India to missionary parents, Dr. Virgil and Jeanne Zigler. After graduating high school in India, she attended Thiel College and Wittenberg University, graduating with a degree in music education. She was a very accomplished pianist and composed some music. She and her husband, Ralph, served as missionaries in Malaysia and Singapore for 16 years then in Tanzania, East Africa, for 14 years.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph, and three sons, Hans (Karen), Kurt (Pamela) and Timothy (Barbara), and by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also by her sisters, Lucille (Ralph, deceased) Ankenman, Beverly (Theodore) Hofer and Sylvia (Rupley, deceased) Maday.
There will be a private burial and then a memorial service at Seaman Memorial Lutheran Church at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, PA on Saturday, March 12, 2022 with visitation from 9 A.M. until the time of the service at 10 A.M. with Rev. Freda Snyder, officiating.
Memorial gifts may be given to Seaman Memorial Lutheran Church, 105 Burgess Drive, Zelienople, PA 16063.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, Inc., 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063.
