MUMMA, Charles A. - obituary [Dayton Daily News, abt 10 Sept 1999]
Age 93, born in Phoenix, Ariz., July 18, 1906, died Wednesday, September 8, 1999, at Friendship Village, Dayton, Ohio. Preceded in death by one son, C. Wylie formerly of Chicago and by one daughter, Constance Warthen formerly of Olney Maryland. Mr. Mumma is survived by his wife, Aloysia (Erbaugh) Mumma; son-in-law, Dr. J. David Warthen of Olney, Maryland; gradaughters, Jacqueline (Warthen) Diedrich of Dublin, Ohio, and Angela (Warthen) Gustafson of Mechaniesburg Pennsylvania; and by his sister and brother-in-law, Miriam & Elton Huff of Indiana. Mr. Mumma taught for 38 years in the Dayton Public School System and was a member of the (former) Horace Irwin Masonic Blue Lodge, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton and the Antioch Shrine. At Mr. Mumma's request there will be no memorial service. His body was donated to Wright State Medical School. If friends desire, contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of Dayton or the donor's favorite charity.
