Mumma Cornelius age 30 wife Catherine age 18; Catherine Ellen age 1; domestic Elizabeth Benden (sister of Catherine) age 21. 1850 census Cornelius is listed 2x in Lancaster Co. Once in Marietta as a laborer living in a boarding house, and in West Hempfield Twp. living with his step mother.
Cornelius Mumma had an illegitimate son by the name of Cornelius Albert Mathias Mumma. He was b. 9/10/1863 and baptized 9/27/1863 at St. Aloysius Church, Summit near Cresson, PA. He was the son of Cornelius Mumma and Sarah "Louise" Howell. Later Sarah "Louise" Howell married Francis McConnell. The 1880 census of Gallitzin Twp. Cambria Co. PA reads: McConnell, Francis 33; Louisa 34; Thomas 8; Alice 6; Annie 4; Henrietta 2; Julia 3 months; Howell, Lucy 26 sister-in-law; Howell, Allbert 17 step-son. His birth is found in the Catholic Vital Records of Central PA by Fr. Ledoux Vol. 4 pg. 169.
