[History provided by Adriana Mumaw. E-mail post148@bellsouth.net]
When Calvin R. Mumaw died (my grandfather), my grandmother, Adella Mae Morillo, remarried to a Venezuelan college student who was attending a school in Illinois where my grandmother worked. By then, my grandmother had three kids (from Calvin): Linda, James B., and Dean Mumaw. After finishing school, Adella and Jesus Zamora (husband) moved to Venezuela with her and the three kids. Together, they had two other kids: Mary Jean Zamora and Jesus Zamora Jr (who are both living here in south florida now, although they grew up in Venezuela). My father who was only around 7 when they moved to Venezuela, grew up there and met my mother Laura Luz Brando in college while they both studied architecture. They had me and my sister, and three months before my 6 birthday, my family moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL due to the civil unrest going on in Venezuela.
My dad's brother, Dean Mumaw, has two sons that will carry the Mumaw name (unfortunately, the rest of the Mumaws in our generation are girls). His two sons are Kevin and Christopher Mumaw who are both living in Venezuela.
