MARRIAGE! Grundy County Marriage Records, Trenton, Missouri, Book 13, page 143. Oscar and Naomi went to St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri to be married in the home of the minister, Rev. O.B. Lawliss.
Oscar died at the Plainview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri where he had been a resident for several months. The Nursing Home was owned and operated by his wife's sister, Kathryn Swan. Services were held at the First Christian Church, Trenton, Missouri, of which he was a member, and burial was in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Blackmore-Whitaker Funeral Home of Trenton.
He farmed for many years on Trenton, Route 3, some of that time on the farm given to his mother by her father, Charles Skinner. When they quit farming, he and Naomi moved to Trenton to a home at 801 East Seventh Street.
For many years Oscar was a member of the Liberty Chapel Christian Church and a deacon in that church. After moving to Trenton he became a member and was active in the First Christian Church there.
