Mrs Amanda Florence Baker, 91 died at 10:25 a. m. Thursday in a nursing
home on W. Columbia St., where she had moved from 1806 Edwards Ave. in
1945 when her husband John died. Born July 20, 1859, in Clark County,
the daughter of Martin and Sarah Fox Kershner, she was a member of the
Fifth Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, William Mumma of
Springfield, and Bert Mumma of New Carlisle, and one daughter, Mrs.
Minnie Rankin of Huntington, IN. The body was taken to the
Jackson-Lytle funeral home, where friends may call after 4 P. M.
Saturday until the services at 1 P. M. Monday in charge of the Rev.
August Schneider, pastor of Fifth Lutheran Church. Burial will be in
Ferncliff Cemetery. Friends have been asked to omit flowers.
