John J. Mumma, 69, of 580 Mumma Road, Lititz went home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Lititz. Born November 12, 1938, he was the son of the late Jacob G. and Miriam Greiner Mumma. Having celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary in July of this year, he was the husband of Darlene J. Ranck Mumma. A farmer all his life, John also worked 15 years for the United States Post Office, Lititz. He attended Celebrate Life Christian Church, Lancaster. John enjoyed Southern Gospel Quartets.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Nevin J., husband of Tammy E. Killinger Mumma of Lititz, Lori L., wife of John D. Young of Lititz, Melodi R., wife of Jonathan P. Miller of Ephrata, Lowell S., husband of Jolene L. Martin Mumma of Lititz; twelve grandchildren; and a sister, Joan G., wife of Robert Holsinger of Florida.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Grace Church of Lititz, 501 West Lincoln Avenue, Lititz, PA on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Longenecker's Brethren Cemetery, Warwick Township. There will be a public viewing at Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, PA on Friday from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM and again at the church on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
