LANCASTER Kenneth H. Beecher, Sr., 74, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He was the companion of Rosalie Johnson of Lancaster. Born on November 19, 1936, in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Hennekey) Beecher Fitez. He was employed as a truck driver for various trucking companies, including Yellow Freight. Mr. Beecher enjoyed driving trucks and H-O model scale trains. He leaves to cherish his memory, his companion, Rosalie; a daughter, Paula Spalla and husband Keith of Hellam; two sons, Kenneth Beecher, Jr. of Lancaster and Maurice Beecher of Columbia; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara of Columbia and Jackie of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Mumma) Beecher. Services will be private. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York, is entrusted with arrangements.
