Margaret A. (Mumma) Stoy, 73, of Lancaster, passed away after battling cancer on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy. Born April 6, 1938 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Lester K. and Margaret R. (Warfel) Mumma. She will be lovingly missed by her husband, with whom she would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on June 30th, Charles R. Stoy, Sr., of Lancaster.
Mrs. Stoy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center. She retired from Keystone Pretzel. Mrs. Stoy enjoyed gardening, especially flower gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Stoy is survived by her sons: Charles R., Jr., husband of Darlene Stoy and Jeff S. Stoy, Sr.; her daughter: Brenda, wife of Donald Kuhns, Jr.; three brothers: Lester K., Jr., Ronald L., Sr., and John R. Mumma, Sr.; seven grandchildren, four step grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, 517 North Queen St., Lancaster with Rev. Charles Lisse officiating. Viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening from the Gundel Funeral Home, 415 North Duke St., Lancaster and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will follow the service at River-view Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O.
