Per obituary of Sarah Matilda "Tille" [Sell] Hines, she was born August 30, 1864 in Tuscarawas Co., OH, and died June 24, 1948 in home of her son Chester Hines in Elmhurst, IL, Du Page County. She married on January 8, 1887 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Kensosha County to George Thomas Hines. They had one surviving son, Chester Hines.
Per his obit, George Thomas Hines was born Sept. 4, 1863 in Dubuque, Iowa, Dubuque County, the son of Thomas T. Hines and Emma [Richards] Hines. George died on July 15, 1948 at the home of his son, Chester Hines, in Elmhurst, IL. George and Tillie Hines had lived near Hillsdale, IL, Rock Island County since 1939 until about 1945, moving to Elmhurst, IL to be closer to their son Chester as their health failed. However, the majority of their married life was spent in Chicago where George worked as a bookkeeper and fieldman for the Kellogg-McKay Plumbing Supply, starting to work there soon after his marriage in Sept. 1863 and retiring in 1938/1939.
Both Tillie and George Hines are buried in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.
