James H. Mumma, 56, Rye, N.Y. formerly of Lancaster, died Tuesday morning at United Hospital, Rye, where he was a patient since Friday.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late J. Hebron and Grace Frey Mumma. He was a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College.
A specialist in personnel, Mumma was staff vice president for personnel relations for Eastern Airlines, and until his death, was a personnel consultant with George H. Haney Associates, Inc., of New york City.
Mumma is survived by his wife, Marjorie Carson Mumma, at home and five chidren, Mrs. Marjorie Ohman of Falls Church, VA; James C. Thomas G., William F. and Phillis A. Mumma all of home.
