Lorene Mae Mumma, 100 years and 7 months, passed away on February 26th.
She was born in Lemoyne, PA, on July 22, 1904, the daughter of Whitney David Mumma and Florence McCormick Mumma.
She was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Lemoyne, a graduate of Lemoyne High School and Columbia University, New York. She was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 914. She was a professional dancer with the Ziegfield Follies and performed in movies and on Broadway at the Hammerstein Theatre, with Cary Grant and Paul Gregory.
She is survived by three nieces, Leslie M. Beamer and Deborah Z. Mumma, both of Mechanicsburg and Susan M. Phelan of Camp Hill; five great nephews and four great nieces; sixteen great great nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, on Saturday, March 5th. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
