Walter enlisted in the US Marines around 1924 and was stationed in Managua & Bluefields, Nicaragua. This is were he met and married Soledad. There are 227 Marine Muster records for Walther J. Stone listed on Ancestry.com between May 1924 and Dec 1940. There are no online records after 1940. He was transferred to Haiti about October, 1932. He and Soledad were divorced.
