WARREN --- Mrs. Grace Irene Hurd, 75, of 259 Perkinswood dr., died Thursday in Warren General Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Dover, she was a daughter of the late John and Sarah Engler Mumma, and a Warren resident since 1920. She was a member of Warren Grange, Pomona Grange, state and national granges and holder of all seven grange degrees. She was a honorary member of the Daughters of America and a volunteer worker for the American Cancer Society many years. Her husband, Nelson E, whom she married in April 1919, died in March 1973.
Surviving are a daughter and son, Mrs. Sarah Evelyn Lee of Long Island, N.Y., and Richard E of Champion Township, O., a sister, Mrs. Pearl Burkholder of Garrettsville, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A sister and five brothers also are deceased.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Robert H. Roberts Memorial Home where friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park.
