Wayne Brinser Mumma, of York, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in York. He was born on November 11, 1943, in Duncannon, Pennsylvania.
Wayne?s life journey began on the family farm in Duncannon, where he grew up surrounded by the farmlands and community. From those humble beginnings as a farm boy, he went on to explore parts of the world and build a life marked by creativity, dedication, and service.
In the 1970s, Wayne channeled his artistic spirit into entrepreneurship by opening Country Estate, a florist and gift shop in Duncannon known for its gifts of distinctive offerings. His eye for beauty and attention to detail made the flower arrangements a top seller. Later, he transitioned into public service as a project manager at the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Over the course of more than 30 years there?until his retirement in 2012?he brought diligence and leadership to his role.
Wayne was a longtime member of Trinity Church in York, Pennsylvania, where he found spiritual connection and community over the years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Mumma of York, who passed away one year prior. Wayne held many roles throughout his life?son, cousin, nephew, friend, husband, and stepfather?and touched many lives through each of them. Is survived by his stepson Travis Cook.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
