Martha's birth year is not certain. From the 2 marriage records, 1850 and 1852 are calculated. From the 1880 census, a year of 1857 is determined. From the 1850 census, we know a sister by the name of Emily was born so a birth year of 1851-1852 is likely.
In the 1860 census, she is found living with the Dodion Family. Her mother, sister, and half brother are not living nearby. I suspect that her sister my have deceased.
