FRANK MUMAUGH DIES AT THE JAIL
HAS BEEN AILING FOR THREE WEEKS.
WAS LAKE ERIE BRAKEMAN
Frank Mumaugh, aged thirty-five years, died at the county jail Sunday night at 11:30 o'clock, following an illness which lasted nearly three weeks. The deceased, with his widow and family, were living at 235 west Main street, when he was taken suddenly ill about three weeks ago. He grew irrational at times, and fearing that he might do some one harm during the spells which would overtake him, Mrs. Mumaugh thought it best that he be removed to the jail. During his illness he was continually subjected to the hiccoughs, which it is supposed had a great deal to do with his death.
Sunday morning he suffered a hemorrhage of the stomach, and from that time on he grew weaker. He was rational up until the time he expired. The remains will be taken to the Lenhart-Murphy morgue to be prepared for burial. Deceased was a brakeman in the employee of the L.E. & W. railroad, and was said to be one of the most trusted on the Peru division. Besides a widow, several small children are left to mourn his death.
