Of Joliet, passed away at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora, Tuesday, September 18, 2007. Age 59 years.
Survived by his brother, Fred Mumaugh of Joliet; an aunt, Shirley (Jim) Barney of West Cliff, CO. A nephew and niece, John and Marie Gerardi. Four great-nieces and numerous cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Otis H. and Mary A. Mumaugh.
Graduate of the former Lockport West High School Class of 1966. He attended Robert Morris College. Member of the Joliet American Legion Band as a Tuba player for over 40 years. Roger traveled with Band of America. Formerly employed with PACE Bus Services as a driver of the HEPT Bus, Goldblatt's Department Store and also taught private tuba lessons. He was fortunate to have studied under the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Tuba Player Arnold Jacobs.
Member of Theodore Street Lutheran Church.
Lying in state at Theodore Street Lutheran Church, 1603 N. Prairie, Tuesday, September 25 from 9:30 A.M. until time of services at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Dr. Al Creighton officiating. Interment Hills of Rest Cemetery. Memorials to the Joliet American Legion Band or Theodore Street Lutheran Church will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Monday, September 24th at the Carlson Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. CARLSON-HOLMQUIST-SAYLES
