Notes:
Marriage recorded in Frederick County, VA marriages, 1771-1825
His death is recorded by the estate papers recorded in Will Book #21, 1841-1845
His estate accounting was first recorded on 6 Dec, 1841. The inventory was taken on the 15 April 1841 which would be close to his death date. The value of the estate was $410.45 1/2 (interesting - figured down to the 1/2 cent)
The sale of the property was interesting. Margaret Mumaw, his wife, purchased most of the items, including sadles. A James Mumaw purchased 2 planes. This is first recording of the given name "James". This is most likely John's nephew, James Mumaw.
Will Book #22 1845-1850 - filed in 1845
A court paper was filed regarding the orphans of John Mumaw. It is too difficult to read.
Will Book #26 1859-1865
This would appear to be a release of funds to John's sons, John and William. Very hard to read the copies of the court papers. Ordered on the 1 April 1861
