ETHEL KENNEDY
Mrs. Ethel E. Kennedy, 74, of 5996 Butman Rd., Gladwin, died Saturday, April 16, in the Gladwin Area Hospital after being in failing health for several months.
Born in Butman Township on September 23, 1908, she lived in Kalkaska and Flint for several years until moving back to Butman Township in 1967. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
The former Ethel Stickney, she was married to Samuel Kennedy on December 29, 1924, in Nester Township.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Ellen Butler of Gladwin and Mrs. Ruth Bartlett of Neenah, Wise; 2 sons, Charles of Flint and Robert of Millington; 3 brothers, Leon of New Carlisle, Ind., Delmer of Gladwin and Alex of Villa Park, Ill.; 13 god- children and 9 great grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. Elder Donn Pendleton officiated and burial was in the Butman Township Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 4-20/1983 Column - 3 Page - 2.
