Fredrick B. "Fred" Ricker, 44, passed from this life suddenly on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, following an auto accident. He was born Jan. 4, 1963, in Wilmington, Ohio, to Daniel and Marge Ricker.
Fred will always be remembered for his sense of humor. He was devoted to God and to his family. Fred was a deacon at the La Plata Valley Baptist Church. He loved sports, especially watching the Washington Redskins and Ohio State, and dearly loved coaching his daughter, Whitney.
Fred is survived by his wife of 13 years, Sandy; their two daughters, Whitney and Sara; his mother, Marge Ricker of Las Vegas, Nev.; his father, Dan Ricker Jr. of Suffolk, Va.; his brother, Dan Ricker III and wife, Dafna, of Issaquah, Wash.; his sisters, Rhonda Kiker and husband, Mike, of Sumter, S.C., Cheryl Jepson and husband, Steve, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Alicia Ricker and husband, Kevin Reeves, of Sumter; nine nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; and by his mother-in-law, Ruby Gaines.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A "Celebration of Fred's Life" will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 21, at the La Plata Valley Baptist Church, 629 Highway 170, with Brother Vic Walker officiating. Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens of Farmington.
Pallbearers will be Barry Bond, David Flores, Fred Oberding, and Dan Ricker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim North and Willie Largent.
