Thelma E. Mumaw. 88. formerly of West Third Street. Hazleton, died late Monday at St. Luke Pavilion where she had been residing since September.
Born in Hazleton. she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Wettrau) Fox and spent her entire life in this community.
A graduate of Hazleton High School. Mrs. Mumaw was of the Lutheran Faith. and had been employed from 1966 to 1976 as manager of the cafeteria at HHS.
In addition to her parents. she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Mumaw who died in 1965.
Surviving are daughter. Mrs. George (Ruth Ann) Perzel. Victor, NY and Mrs. Peter (Barbara) Beltrami, Drums; sons. James A. Mumaw. Ocala, FL; Arthur J Mumaw, Dearborn. MI; Robert D. Mumaw, Phoenix, AZ and US Air Force Colonel Samuel S. Mumaw, Hill Air Force Base, UT.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren. five great-grandchildren and her long-time friend and companion, Prank A. Egbert.
The funeral will be held Saturday at noon from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Hunk Inc.. Hazle Chapel, 426 W. Broad St.. Hazleton, where the Rev. Peggy Sue Pfeffer will preside.
Burial will follow in St. Peter and Paul Slovak Lutheran Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home. Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
