TELLS OF PERU BOY'S MURDER
Brief Note from Mining Workman Giving Facts of Robbery and Skull Fracture Came with Body
PERU, Ind March 8 ? The remains of Harry Mumaugh which were brought to Peru from Missoula Mont yesterday were buried today. With the body came a letter to the boy's parents Mr and Mrs J. L. Blake from M. T. Murray telling of the young man's being murdered. The letter says
I regret to inform you that my craneman brother Harry Mumaugh was murdered. After working hours he took a speeder and went to Bonner to get his check cashed. It was while on his way back that he was knocked in the head and robbed of $200 his wages. He was found at the side of the railroad by some workmen who took him to the railroad station. He never regained consciousness. He died in the hospital in Missoula. Nine pieces of his skull were taken from the wound in his head.
