Mrs. Hosie Eyster Hershey, 85, died at her home, 402 York Street, at 2:45 Friday afternoon form the effects of a paralytic stroke suffered last Sunday.
Mrs. Hershey, widow of Abraham Hershey who died about 20 years ago, was born in Adams County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Sidney Bender Eyster, and had always resided in the county.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters; Mrs. David Brown, Cashtown; Mrs. Hermin Warren, at home; Mrs. Ella Mauss, of Gettysburg; Charles A Hershey, Gettysburg; J Willard Hershey,
McPherson, Kansas; Samuel A Hershey, Greensburg, Pa; H. A. Hershey, Woodland, Californian and
L. E. Hershey, Gettysburg.
One sister, Mrs. Lizzie Raffensberger, Arendtsville; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Hershey was a member of the River Brethren church.
Funeral services from the Bender funeral home, Carlisle Street, Monday afternoon at 2:00, the
Rev. Laban Wingert, of Chambersburg, officiating. Interment in the cemetery at Mummasburg.
