COSHOCTON -- Marianne S. Owen, 68, of 2236 S. Ninth St., died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born April 3, 1935, in Coshocton, she was a daughter of the late LaVern and Nellie (Mumaw) Strohacker.
Mrs. Owen was a 1954 graduate of Coshocton High School. She was employed as a beautician, secretary and retired from Residential Home for the Developmentally Disabled.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton, and enjoyed dogs, roses and camping.
She was married to Ronald M. Owen, who preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Richard E. (Pat) Klingler of Lindale, Texas, and David L. Klingler of Coshocton; two daughters, Susan Y. (Jesse) Workman of Springhill, Fla., and Sheri R. Gardner of Brookville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Amy C. Anderson, Michael D. Klingler, Jessica M. Workman, Richard A. Klingler, Christopher A. Klingler, Brendan A. Gardner and Tyler L. Duff; two great-grandchildren, Meghan and Morgan Anderson; a sister, Loretta Heltzer of California; and several close friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Klingler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at Given-Dawson Coshocton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jonathan T. Carlisle officiating. Burial will be held at South Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at the funeral home.
