Mrs. Lillian M. Belts, who has been a Fairview correspondent of The Free Press for many years until recent months, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. J. Brown in that community near Nampa, aged 85 years, six months, and 24 days.
Lillian Mumma was born at Ligonier, Ind., Oct 12, 1860. She was united in marriage to Melvin Adelbert Belts Oct. 16, 1884 at Ligonier. He died in 1894 at Grand Rapies, Mich., four years after they moved there.
Mrs. Belts and her daughter Euda returned to Indiana where they lived until 1908 when they moved to Boise. She has made her home in Fairview since 1917.
Mrs. Belts is survived by her daughter, Mrs. S. J. Brown, one granddaughter, Mrs. Marion [Vesta] Polley and one great-grandchild, R. Dean Polley. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Funeral services will be held in the Robinson chapel her Wednesday at 3:30 p.m followed by inter-ment in Cloverdale cemetery.
