ESTHER K. MOOMAW, 71, of Brick Church Road, Newville, and formerly of North Middlesex Road, Carlisle, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 17, 1932, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Emmett O. and Leonora H. (Larson) Kessinger.

Esther K. Moomaw, 71, of Brick Church Rd., Newville, and formerly of N. Middlesex Rd, Carlisle, PA. died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center. Born on September 17, 1932, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Emmett O. and Leonora H. (Larson) Kessinger and the widow of Paul B. Moomaw. She was a 1950 graduate of Chambersburg High School, Chambersburg. She had worked as the Executive Secretary of the former Hotel Washington, Chambersburg. She retired from Shaffer Trucking in 1983 and also was retired from Wayne Products, where her husband was owner-operator. She was a former member of the St. Matthias Lutheran Church, Carlisle Springs, and was a current member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bloserville. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary for the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie, 1299, Carlisle. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, spending time with family, and being with her grandchildren. Surviving are three sons, Michael S. and Matthew S. Moomaw, both of Newville, Anthony A. Moomaw, Carlisle; one daughter, Cynthia A. Smith, Shiremanstown; three brothers, Theodore, William and Emmett O. Kessinger Jr, all of Chambersburg; two sisters, Jean Schleicher, Salisbury, Md. and Kathleen Faust, Winfield, PA; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial, Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
