The family first appears in the 1900 census of Lowell, MA. Torsten's ocupation is a wool sorter and he arrived in America in 1888. "Betty", his wife, arrived in 1886.
The family was living at 15 Lenox Street in the 1900 census. From 1910 to the 1930 census, they lived in a house which they owned at 43 Sidney Street, Lowell, MA. Through all of the census, Torsten worked in the woolen mill. The family is very hard to find in the 1920 and 1930 census as the surname is transcribed as "Fordten F Reemstie"??
