Ralph was an engineer for the Union Oil company and sailed on the seas of the Pacific Ocean beginning around 1926. Ancestry.com has an extensive listing of immigration records which show when he returned to the US from Vancouver, BC and other ports of call. ["California Passenger and Crew Lists, 1893-1957]
One ship upon which he served was called the Warwick. In 1940, that ship was sold and transferred to a Brazilian company by the name of "Navebras, S.A.". The ship was renamed the "Santa Maria". There is a write up in a Brazilian newspaper describing the ownership transfer ceremony in which Ralph Reenstjerna, the chief engineer, was a named attendee.
